I think the most important thing about yoga is that you don't need to understand it for it to work. Many people believe that first you need to learn the “material parts”, then find your weak points and work on them, work out the tension, learn to breathe, meditate, and so on. I'll tell you a secret - no one does this. Everything happens the other way around. First, you practice regularly, being present in the moment and feeling your body. And then yoga begins to change you. And you ask yourself, what is happening to me? And then you understand that these are the very processes that I talked about.

Yoga for me is an opportunity to develop joint mobility, stabilize the lower back, and change the pattern of movement off the mat. In addition, I note that I react more calmly to stress and have developed the habit of making more informed decisions.
